FEATURED POEMS:

Introspect I (poem)

It was late in the night
Eve was, oh, so drowsy!
How would it feel?

I felt some heel
I rode uphill,

Reached for quiff
So impetuous, so unrestrained,
I took fresh fruits.
(Blest be fountain mine)

Prophecies fulfilled.

I heard some nocturnal bird howl

Not for me the melancholic cry!

Merrily, merrily, I sing.

- Adeshina Olusanya

Introspect II - Discourse (poem)

It was late in the night
You were fast asleep

Just what could one feel?
O! Softly I felt the heel
Hand moved up knee,
Reached for quiff.

And what feelings flashed!
Impetuously, unrestrained, I grubbed
Up fruits.

Prophecies here fulfilled.

"I heard this nocturnal bird howl
Not for me the melancholic cry!

Merrily, merrily I sang.

- Adesina Olusanya (Ileanuolu)
('Honeymoon', from Heartstrings (2005)

Too Late! (Haiku) (poem)

"Sparrowhawk! O hawk!

How I fear thee," sobs poor chick,

Ah! Mother warned me."

- Adeshina Olusanya
